Hero Passion Plus Gets Major Safety Upgrade With New Disc Brake Variant

Hero MotoCorp has updated the Hero Passion Plus commuter motorcycle with a new disc brake variant. This latest addition brings improved safety and braking performance at a price of ₹84,128 (ex-showroom).

Hero Passion Plus Updated With Disc Brakes

India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced the updated Passion Plus in the 100cc commuter segment, one of its best-selling categories. The biggest update on the motorcycle is the addition of a front disc brake, improving rider confidence and overall braking performance.

The new front disc setup offers better stopping power compared to the traditional drum brakes that have long been standard on commuter motorcycles. This makes the Passion Plus more practical and safer for everyday riding conditions.

In addition to the braking upgrade, the motorcycle also gets a new fully digital instrument cluster. The display shows mileage, speed, fuel level, side-stand engine cut-off warning, low fuel indicator, and several other ride-related alerts.

Engine & Mileage

Powering the motorcycle is the familiar 97.2cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 5.9kW of power and 8.05Nm of torque, paired with a 4-speed gearbox. Also, Hero's i3S technology helps deliver a claimed fuel efficiency of 71km/l.

The Passion Plus also gets dual-tone graphics, a segment-first projector headlamp, wider seats for enhanced comfort, and a USB charging port for convenience. The new disc brake variant is available in four colour options - Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue, Dark Industrial Grey, and Pearl Red.
