EICMA 2026: Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept Revealed
The Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept has been revealed at EICMA 2026 as the brand's first single-cylinder motorcycle since its resurgence under TVS. It is powered by a 454cc engine and comes in two variants.
The Norton Urban Roadster sits at the entry point of Norton's line-up. Pricing hasn't been announced, and the launch is expected in the second half of 2027, with India and overseas markets likely to get it at the same time.

Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept: Engine & Other Hardware
The 454cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine makes 47hp at 8,000rpm and 45Nm at 6,000rpm. It is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a quickshifter, and Norton says the tune favours linear acceleration, in-gear response and low-down torque.

An aluminium frame underpins the motorcycle, and Norton is targeting a kerb weight of under 180kg. Suspension comes from KYB, with a fully adjustable 43mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear that offers rebound and preload adjustment.
Braking is handled by a 320mm ByBre disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with cornering ABS. Both variants ride on 17-inch cast wheels fitted with road-focused tyres.

Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept: Variants & Features
The Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept comes in two variants, a standard road-focused model and a scrambler-styled option, both sharing the same core package. At least for now, the differences appear to be cosmetic only.
The standard bike gets silver cast wheels, a silver frame and road tyres. The scrambler-styled variant has black cast wheels, a grey frame and swingarm, extended mudguards, knuckle guards, fork protectors, a flyscreen and unique seat trim. Colour options are Blue, Silver, Pink and Green.

Styling follows Norton's new design approach of clean proportions, a strong road presence and attention to detail, while retaining the character associated with the British manufacturer.
Equipment includes dynamic LED headlights, cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control and three rider modes. The motorcycle also gets keyless ignition, smartphone connectivity, heated grips, an 8-inch TFT touchscreen, a USB-C charger and TPMS.
Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept: Launch Timeline & Rival
Norton will begin sales in 2027, and the official model name will be announced ahead of launch. It will compete with the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, and the brand is preparing to establish its presence in India.
The Norton 450 Urban Roadster Concept follows the four new-generation motorcycles Norton unveiled at EICMA 2025, namely the Manx, Manx R, Atlas and Atlas GT. Deliveries of the Manx R and Atlas have started in European markets.
Sudarshan Venu, Chairman, TVS Motor Company, said:"Norton has never been defined just by engine capacity or a particular category of motorcycle. It is defined by its character, its design, engineering and the emotional connection it creates with riders. Our vision is to bring this compelling experience forward to a new generation of customers while remaining true to the principles that define Norton now and into the future.
With the Manx R, we demonstrated our reinterpretation of Norton for the modern era through uncompromising, modern design with distinctive performance. The new Norton 450 urban motorcycle carries the same approach into an entirely new category. It is not simply about extending our product range; it is about creating motorcycles with their own identity, each unmistakably Norton.
Supported by TVS Motor Company's long-term commitment, global engineering capabilities and investment in the brand, we are building a new generation of Norton motorcycles for customers around the world. Our strategy is to establish Norton as one of the most desirable names in modern motorcycling, recognised for exceptional design, engaging performance and a truly discerning ownership experience."
