Bengaluru-based EV startup E3 Electric has launched the Trion electric scooter lineup in India, with prices starting at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). The E3 Trion range comprises three electric scooters, the C1, C1x, and C2, each with a different battery, motor and range combination.

Bookings for the E3 Trion lineup are open for customers in Bengaluru through the company's official website. E3 Electric has said more cities will be added to the rollout in the coming months.

E3 Trion Electric Scooter Launched

The E3 Trion C1 is the most affordable of the three scooters and is priced at Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). The Trion C1 gets a removable 2.3kWh battery pack, good for a claimed range of 108km on the IDC cycle and it takes 2 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. The C1 is powered by a 3.35bhp motor and it has a claimed top speed of 67km/h.

The E3 Trion C1x moves to a larger 3kWh battery pack, though this one is fixed rather than removable. The Trion C1x returns a claimed range of 165km (IDC), the highest in the lineup, but takes longer to charge with a 0-80 percent top-up taking 3 hours and 30 minutes. The E3 Trion C1x uses the same 3.35bhp motor and 67km/h top speed as the C1, and is priced at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

The E3 Trion C2 shares its 3kWh fixed battery pack with the C1x, but pairs it with a more powerful 4.69bhp motor. This raises the claimed top speed to 82kmph, the highest of the three variants, though range drops to 128km (IDC), lower than the C1x's 165km. The Trion C2 also takes 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent. It is the most expensive scooter in the Trion range, priced at Rs 1,19,999 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

All three variants of the E3 Trion get a 5-inch LCD console with smartphone connectivity for turn-by-turn navigation. The C1x and C2 build on this with AI-integrated features, including AI charging insights and adaptive learning.

Storage is common across the range too, with all three variants offering a combined 52 litres of space across the under-seat compartment, glove box and floorboard. E3 Electric is backing the Trion lineup with an eight-year or one lakh-kilometre battery warranty across all variants.
