Ducati Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP Launched At Rs 16.53 Lakh
The Ducati Hypermotard V2 has been launched in India at Rs 16.53 lakh (ex-showroom), while the V2 SP costs Rs 20.78 lakh. Both supermotos get an 890cc V-twin and a new monocoque frame.
The Ducati Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP succeed the Hypermotard 950, which Ducati discontinued earlier this year. The SP adds Öhlins suspension, forged wheels and a 20th anniversary livery.

Ducati Hypermotard V2 - Engine and Frame
The 890cc liquid-cooled V-twin makes 120.4hp and 94Nm. Against the Hypermotard 950, that's 6hp more and 2Nm less. Variable intake valve timing (IVT) keeps the response smoother across the rev range.

A new monocoque frame underpins the motorcycle, cutting 13kg on the standard model and 14kg on the SP. The rear tyre is 10mm wider than the 950's, the factory tyres move up to Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV from the Rosso III, and the front callipers are now Brembo M4.32 units.
Seat height is 880mm. An accessory low seat drops it to 865mm, and pairing that with a low suspension kit brings it down to 850mm. The SP weighs 177kg without fuel, 3kg less than the standard model.

Ducati Hypermotard V2 - Suspension, Brakes and Electronics
The standard Ducati Hypermotard V2 uses a fully adjustable 46mm KYB upside-down fork with 170mm of travel. At the rear, a KYB monoshock with 160mm of travel offers preload and rebound adjustment. Wheels are 17-inch cast light-alloy units, and Brembo M4.32 callipers handle the braking.
The SP gets a fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 48mm inverted fork and a fully adjustable Öhlins STX46 monoshock. It also rides on forged 17-inch aluminium wheels with Brembo M50 callipers and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tyres.
Both motorcycles carry a 5-inch TFT display and a six-axis IMU electronics suite. Rider aids include traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, ride and power modes, and a bi-directional quickshifter.
The standard supermoto is offered in Ducati Red, while the SP wears a sports livery with a '20' decal marking 20 years since the original Hypermotard debuted at EICMA 2005. Bookings for both versions are open at showrooms across the country.
