Classic Legends April 23 Surprise: BSA 650 & New Yezdi Scrambler Incoming?

Classic Legends, backed by Mahindra Group, is gearing up for a new launch on April 23, 2026. According to reports, the company could unveil two motorcycles, and we believe these may include the updated Yezdi Scrambler and a new BSA Scrambler 650.

Classic Legends Launching BSA & Yezdi Scrambler?

Retro motorcycles are witnessing a surge in demand in India, prompting Classic Legends to expand its portfolio to strengthen its foothold in this fast-growing segment. With an already diverse Motorcycle lineup on sale, these upcoming launches could further boost the brand's market presence.

BSA Scrambler 650

Yezdi Scrambler

The BSA Scrambler 650 could be introduced in the Indian market this April 2026. This motorcycle is already available in international markets such as the UK. Its distinctive design and aggressive riding stance are likely to appeal to enthusiasts, especially in the limited competitive Mid level scrambler segment in India.

The Scrambler 650 is expected to share the same 650cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine as the BSA Gold Star 650, which produces around 45 hp and 55 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The final power output may be tuned differently for this model.

Yezdi Scrambler

Expected features include a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, upswept exhaust, tall riding stance, spoke wheels, and disc brakes. Pricing is likely to be around ₹3.6 lakh (ex-showroom). This motorcycle could directly rival the Royal Enfield Bear 650.

Yezdi Scrambler 2026

Yezdi is also expected to introduce an updated version of the Scrambler for 2026. The key upgrades are likely to focus on mechanical components, with revisions to the suspension setup offering improved travel and better damping, along with minor cosmetic enhancements.

Yezdi Scrambler

The bike will continue to be powered by the 334cc Alpha2 liquid-cooled engine, producing 29.1 PS and 28.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Currently priced at around ₹1.95 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated model could see a slight increase to approximately ₹1.99 lakh. In this segment, its primary rival remains the Triumph Scrambler 400 X and the Royal Enfield Scram 440.

Our Thoughts

Launching these motorcycles could make the market more competitive and help expand the scrambler lineup in India. With limited options currently available, these upcoming models have the potential to significantly heat up competition across both the mid-size and entry-level segments.
