BSA Scrambler 650 Incoming – First-Ever Scrambler From BSA Launching Soon
BSA is all set to launch the new Scrambler 650 in India on April 23, 2026. The Classic Legends-owned brand is gearing up to introduce what could be its first-ever scrambler for the Indian market. This model is already on sale in select european markets.
BSA Scrambler 650 To Launch In India
Mahindra-owned Classic Legends currently retails Jawa, Yezdi, and BSA motorcycles in the Indian market. All three brands focus on retro and neo-retro motorcycles, appealing to classic motorcycle enthusiasts in the entry-level and mid-capacity segments. The current lineup has engine options ranging from 272cc and 334cc to the flagship 650cc engine.

Now, the company is preparing to introduce a new scrambler-style motorcycle based on the Goldstar 650 platform, powered by the same 650cc single-cylinder engine. In addition, an updated version of the Yezdi Scrambler is also expected to debut alongside the new BSA model.
The BSA Scrambler 650 will use the same engine as the Goldstar 650. It is powered by a 652cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine that produces 45 BHP and 55 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This setup is among the most powerful single-cylinder configurations in the segment and also features a wet multi-plate clutch, and the torque offers excellent pull.

Being a scrambler, the motorcycle is expected to feature revised tyres and suspension for improved off-road capability. It could get off-road-focused tyres, along with a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with preload adjustability and increased suspension travel.
In terms of design, the bike is likely to retain a classic retro look, featuring a round headlamp and a single-pod instrument console. Spoke wheels are expected instead of alloy wheels to enhance its rugged appeal.

The tyres could be 110/80-19 at the front and 150/70-17 at the rear, likely using Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR units. The motorcycle may also feature a single-piece seat with deep cushioning, a slightly raised tail section with a LED tail lamp, and an upswept exhaust. This new model will directly rival the Royal Enfield Bear 650 scrambler.
While the Royal Enfield uses a twin-cylinder engine, the BSA Scrambler 650 sticks to a single-cylinder setup but aims to deliver a similarly strong performance and character. The BSA Goldstar 650 is currently priced at ₹3.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming BSA Scrambler 650 is expected to be priced slightly higher, by around ₹20,000-₹30,000.
