BSA Gold Star 650 - Brooklands Black and Birmingham Blue Design

The Brooklands Black Legacy Edition takes its cue from the British circuit where BSA rider Wal Handley's record-breaking performance in 1937 earned the Gold Star badge. It gets deep black paint with gold pinstriping, chrome-finished fenders, a chrome-accented tank and a quilted seat.
The Birmingham Blue pays tribute to the city where BSA began, from its Birmingham Small Arms origins onwards. It's finished in deep blue, with a patinated silver side-panel badge and a bespoke engine finish.

BSA Gold Star 650 - Engine & Hardware
Both new editions of the BSA Gold Star 650 use the familiar 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, which makes 45hp and 55Nm. The engine is a DOHC, four-valve unit with twin spark plugs and is paired to a five-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties on the BSA Gold Star 650 are carried out by a 41mm telescopic fork up front and twin rear shocks with five-step preload adjustment. Braking comes from a 320mm front disc with a Brembo twin-piston caliper and a 255mm rear disc with a Brembo single-piston caliper, backed by dual-channel ABS. The wire-spoke wheels measure 18 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear.
The BSA Gold Star 650 weighs 201kg and features a 1,425mm wheelbase along with a 782mm seat height and 12-litre fuel tank. Instrumentation is a dual-pod analogue cluster with a digital readout. Optional accessories for the BSA Gold Star 650 include a windshield kit, rear rack, grab rail, backrest (with or without rack), rear rail, knee pad kit and exhaust heat shield.
Anupam Thareja, Co-founder, Classic Legends, said, "The Gold Star embodies everything we believe a modern retro-roadster should be. From its authentic British design to the distinctive experience of its big-single engine, every element reflects the craftsmanship, engineering and attention to detail that have defined the Gold Star for generations. The Brooklands Black Legacy Edition honours the moment when the Gold Star earned its legendary name, while Birmingham Blue offers a contemporary expression of the Gold Star, reinterpreting its iconic DNA for today's rider. Together, they represent two distinct chapters of the Gold Star story, united by the heritage and individuality that remain central to BSA."
