Top 5 Things We Like About BMW F 450 GS Adventure
Positioned in the middleweight adventure segment, the F 450 GS directly rivals the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Here are the top five things we like about this new BMW adventure motorcycle.

1. Truly Adventure DNA
BMW is known for its GS lineup, and the F 450 GS carries forward the same philosophy. The platform has been co-developed with TVS Motor Company. It is built on a lightweight steel trellis frame with a kerb weight of around 178 kg, making it agile and easy to handle across rough terrains as well as everyday riding conditions.
2. High-End Hardware and Components
The motorcycle offers cross-spoke tubeless wheels as an option. The top-spec GS Trophy variant features a fully adjustable suspension setup, including 43 mm USD front forks and a rear monoshock. It also gets adjustable brake and gear levers, along with optional touring accessories such as a rally seat, taller windshield, and luggage systems-similar to larger GS models.

3. Premium Technologies
The F 450 GS is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Key features include navigation support, ride-by-wire throttle, full LED lighting setup, BMW's multi-controller interface, multiple riding modes (Rain, Road, Enduro, and Enduro Pro), Gear Shift Assistant Pro, and the Easy Ride Clutch system.
4. Advanced Safety Tech
BMW has equipped the bike with a comprehensive safety package, including ABS Pro (cornering ABS), Dynamic Traction Control, engine brake control, and an anti-hopping clutch.
Additional highlights include heated grips, a rear suspension system with travel-dependent damping (WAD), adjustable rear rebound, off-road footrests, an adjustable brake lever, and disc brakes at both ends.

5. Easy Riding and Handling
One of the biggest highlights of the F 450 GS is its rider-focused dynamics. The lightweight construction ensures better control and comfort, both on-road and off-road. It is powered by a 420cc parallel-twin engine that is A2 licence compliant.
The Easy Ride Clutch system enables clutch-less low-speed riding, a feature that is rare in this segment. These rider-friendly features help justify its expected price of around ₹4.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
