BMW F 450 GS Launched At ₹4.70 Lakh - 3 Variants, 420cc Parallel Twin Engine, Trim-Specific Riding Modes
BMW Motorrad has officially launched the F 450 GS in India in three variants, with prices ranging from ₹ 4.70 lakh to ₹ 5.30 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings are now open, with deliveries set to begin in June.
The F 450 GS replaces the discontinued G 310 GS as the brand's entry-level GS offering, and is manufactured in India by TVS at its Hosur facility. The BMW F 450 GS is offered in three trims - Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy.

BMW F 450 GS Variants & Price List
| Variant | Price (Ex-Showroom) |
|---|---|
| BMW F 450 GS Base | Rs 4.70 lakh |
| BMW F 450 GS Exclusive | Rs 4.90 lakh |
| BMW F 450 GS Trophy | Rs 5.30 lakh |

All three variants of the BMW F 450 GS share the same 420cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, which produces 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The F 450 GS has a kerb weight of 178kg.
Underpinning the F 450 GS is a steel trellis frame. Suspension duties are handled by a KYB upside-down fork and a preload- and rebound-adjustable monoshock. The F 450 GS rolls on a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, with alloy wheels standard on all three variants of the ADV, unlike in Europe, where the Trophy is offered with wire-spoked wheels shod with tubeless tyres.

Braking is handled by a 310mm disc brake clamped down by Brembo 4-piston floating callipers up front and a Bybre single piston floating calliper clampind down on a 240mm disc at the rear. The brakes of the F 450 GS are aided by BMW's ABS Pro, Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), and Dynamic Brake Light aides as standard.
Features on all variants include a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, heated grips, adjustable levers, all-LED lighting, traction control, and engine drag torque control. The Base variant gets three riding modes - Rain, Road, and Enduro - while the Exclusive and GS Trophy add an Enduro Pro mode.

The bi-directional quickshifter (Shift Assistant Pro) is optional on the Base but comes standard on the Exclusive and Trophy. Riding Modes Pro, off-road foot pegs, and hand guards are also included from the Exclusive variant upwards. The Trophy further adds a tinted Rallye windshield, sport suspension, an aluminium engine guard, and the Easy Ride Clutch as standard - which can also be retrofitted to other trims.
The F 450 GS carries familiar GS styling cues with a tall ADV stance and quad-LED DRLs inspired by the flagship R 1300 GS. BMW is also offering a range of optional accessories including multiple windscreen options, luggage systems, handlebar risers, and different seat configurations.

The BMW F 450 GS takes on the Honda NX500 as its closest twin-cylinder rival, while also competing against single-cylinder adversaries such as the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
