Benelli TRK 552 & TRK 552X Launched At Rs 7.22 Lakh - New Engine, Marzocchi USD & More

The Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X have been launched in India at Rs 7.22 lakh and Rs 7.74 lakh respectively (ex-showroom). Both adventure tourers replace the TRK 502 range, and bookings are open at authorised Benelli Keeway dealerships.

Benelli TRK 552 Lineup - Price, Colours and Rivals

The Benelli TRK 552 costs Rs 7.22 lakh and comes in black and white. The TRK 552X is priced at Rs 7.74 lakh and is offered in white and green. A Limited Edition of the TRK 552X in yellow with golden rims costs Rs 7.90 lakh, which is Rs 16,000 above the standard 552X.

Rivals for the Benelli TRK 552 lineup include the Honda NX500 E-Clutch and the Kawasaki Versys 650 that are priced at Rs 7.44 lakh and Rs 8.63 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. T

Benelli TRK 552 Lineup - Engine and Chassis

The new Benelli TRK 552 lineup is powered by a 554cc liquid-cooled, DOHC parallel-twin makes 52bhp at 8,500rpm and 49Nm at 6,500rpm. That is 6bhp and 3Nm more than the TRK 502X, whose 499.6cc engine it replaces. A six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch is standard.

The tubular steel trellis frame is unchanged, but the swingarm is now aluminium. Suspension duties are carried out by a 50mm Marzocchi USD front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. Braking is handled by twin 320mm floating front discs, a 260mm rear disc and Bosch dual-channel ABS.

The TRK 552 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 120/70ZR17 front and 160/60ZR17 rear Pirelli tyres. Ground clearance is 190mm, seat height is 835mm and overall height is 1,450mm.

The TRK 552X switches to spoked wheels, 19 inches at the front and 17 at the rear, with Metzeler 110/80R19 and 150/70R17 tyres. Ground clearance rises to 210mm, seat height to 860mm and the fuel tank can hold 20 litres of petrol.

Benelli TRK 552 Lineup - Technology and Comfort

The 5-inch TFT display on the Benelli TRK 552 and TRK 552X supports Bluetooth, smartphone integration and T-BOX connectivity. Navigation covers route planning, turn-by-turn directions, offline navigation and trackback functionality.

Heated grips and a heated seat are standard on both. The double-threaded seat is redesigned with extra padding, the handlebar is adjustable and new hand guards protect the rider's hands.and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) alerts the rider to abnormal pressure.
