Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z With TFT Display Spied At Dealership Ahead Of Launch

The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster has been spotted at a dealership, pointing to an imminent launch. Bajaj has not yet announced a launch date or pricing for the updated NS400Z but with the festive Dussehra-Diwali fast approaching, we expect the launch to be imminent. .

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z currently retails at Rs 1.86 lakh (ex-showroom) and is the firm's fastest Pulsar. The new same TFT unit looks like the one that arrived with the Pulsar N160 SS first, followed by the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150, roughly a month ago and we expect Bajaj to hike the Pulsar NS400Z's price by between Rs 4,000 to Rs 6,000 when the updated bike hits the streets.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z TFT Display and Features

The 5-inch colour TFT supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and mirrors Google Maps through Bajaj's smartphone app. Android users also get turn-by-turn navigation with the phone screen switched off.

Call alerts, smartphone notifications and music controls show up on the display. Riders can store digital copies of their driving licence, insurance and registration certificate on it, and Bajaj has revised the switchgear to access these functions.

The screen replaces the colour LCD unit with a dot-matrix inset on the current bike. The NS400Z is expected to be sold in a single variant, with slightly refreshed colour options. It does not get the WP fork seen on a Pulsar NS200 test mule.

The Pulsar NS200 has also been spotted at dealerships with the TFT unit, while updated NS200 and N250 test mules with a similar display were spied earlier. Bajaj's upcoming dualsport motorcycle has been seen with the same 5-inch screen.

We expect the TFT to be the only major update that the newest version of the NS400Z will sport as it was only recently updated with Bajaj's cut down powerplant. The 349.13cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 40.6hp and 33.2Nm and it replaced the 373cc unit to help the NS400Z to squeeze into the 18% GST slab.

However, comments by followers on the Instagram post may just be pointing to another big change, this time in terms of mechanical grip. These comments point to new MRF Steel brace tyres being fitted to the bikes at the dealership yard instead of the Apollo's fitted to the current Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z.
