Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Switches To 349cc Engine - Price Revealed
Bajaj Auto has relaunched the Pulsar NS400Z with a 349cc engine, moving it into the lower 18% GST slab under India's GST 2.0 regulations. The ex-showroom price in Delhi now stands at ₹1,80,092 - down from ₹1,93,900. The KTM 390 Duke, 390 Adventure, and Dominar 400 had already undergone the same displacement reduction earlier.
Total buyer savings reach up to ₹24,500, spread across a lower ex-showroom price, reduced insurance premium, and lower registration cost. At ₹1,80,092 ex-showroom Delhi, the Bajaj NS400Z is now the most accessible 40bhp-class naked in India.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z's 349.13cc engine is liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit - the same base engine that powers the Dominar 400. It produces 40bhp and 33.2Nm of peak torque, against the outgoing 373cc motor's 43 PS and 35 Nm in Sport mode. That's a drop of 2.35bhp and 1.8 Nm. The power-to-weight ratio stands at 247 PS per tonne on the new 349cc configuration.
Peak power for the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z now arrives at 9,000 rpm - 200 rpm higher than before - while peak torque comes in at 7,500 rpm, a full 1,000 rpm later. The stroke has been shortened from 60mm to 56.1mm; the 89mm bore is unchanged, making it mechanically identical to the Dominar 400's setup.
Nothing else has changed. Bodywork, instrument cluster, ride modes, and hardware all carry over from the 373cc model. The Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z still gets four ride modes, a quick-shifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, radial tyres, and a Bluetooth-connected console.
Speaking on the announcement, Sarang Kanade, President - Motorcycles Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Ltd. said, "The Pulsar NS has always stood for accessible performance and bold riding experiences. With the new Pulsar NS400Z powered by a 349cc engine, we are taking a significant step towards making high-performance motorcycling more attainable. By passing on the benefits of lower ownership costs, including the 18% GST advantage, we are delivering the same thrilling NS experience with a more compelling value proposition. This reinforces our commitment to making Pulsar more inclusive, relevant, and 'Definitely Daring' for today's riders."
