Bajaj Pulsar N160 Spied Testing Ahead Of Launch

An updated Bajaj Pulsar N160 has been spied testing ahead of its expected launch , with a lightly camouflaged test mule spotted on public roads. The spy image was shared through the official Bajaj Pulsar Instagram handle, pointing to a deliberate teaser rather than an accidental leak.

The test mule arrived fully wrapped in camouflage, suggesting Bajaj is testing a new colour option alongside functional changes. A split seat setup on the unit hints at the range-topping Dual Channel Split Seat USD variant, Bajaj's current flagship spec for the N160.

Up front, the motorcycle gets redesigned LED pilot lamps with a sleeker profile than the outgoing headlamp, along with a revised daytime running light signature. The overall shape of the headlight unit remains familiar, though the tweaks could freshen up the streetfighter's road presence.

Toward the rear, new reflectors have been added near the registration plate mount, a small but visible change from the current model. This top-spec test mule runs halogen turn indicators instead of the LED blinkers fitted to the existing Pulsar N160.

Bodywork, fuel tank extensions, alloy wheel design and overall proportions carry over unchanged. Brakes, chassis, tank shrouds, fenders, the front USD forks, rear mono-shock and underbelly exhaust also appear untouched on the test mule.

The bigger update could arrive on the dashboard, with a new colour LCD instrument cluster likely making its way onto the N160. The same unit recently debuted on the next-generation Pulsar 125 and packs Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation and a gear position indicator.

Power is expected to continue from the existing 164.82cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which currently makes 16 PS and 14.65 Nm through a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj could still introduce minor refinements for smoothness, though whether the output figures change remains unconfirmed.

The updated Pulsar N160 is expected to launch on 12 August 2026, alongside the next-generation Pulsar range. The current Bajaj Pulsar N160 is priced from Rs 1,16,801, ex-showroom, across India.
