Bajaj Discontinues Pulsar N125 In India After Just 2 Years
Bajaj Auto has reportedly discontinued the new-generation Bajaj Pulsar N125 from its India lineup. This move appears to have been made due to the model's underwhelming market response and lower-than-expected sales.
Bajaj Discontinues N125 Pulsar In India
The Pulsar N125 was one of the most stylish and affordable offerings in the Pulsar range. It was launched in October 2024, and within just two years, the company seems to have quietly pulled the plug on the model.

Although Bajaj has not officially confirmed the discontinuation, several dealerships have reportedly stopped accepting bookings for the motorcycle. The Pulsar N125 was built on a fresh platform and featured a capable engine paired with a lightweight chassis weighing just 125 kg.
However, the Pulsar brand has traditionally been associated with a chunkier and more commuter-focused design. In comparison, the N125 adopted a sportier styling approach, which may not have aligned with the expectations of traditional Pulsar buyers. It also faced strong competition from rivals like the Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda CB125 Hornet, both of which offer stronger road presence and a sharper sporty appeal.

The Pulsar N125 was claimed to have one of the most powerful 125cc engines in its segment, producing 12 PS of power and 11 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Bajaj also claimed class-leading acceleration, with one of the quickest 0-60 km/h times in its category.
Key features included a split-seat setup, telescopic front forks, monoshock rear suspension, disc brakes, alloy wheels, and a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Through this system, riders could access call alerts, message notifications, fuel economy data, and USB charging support.

The Pulsar N125 was priced at Rs 92,270 (ex-showroom) and was offered in three colour options. However, Bajaj continues to sell this motorcycle in several international markets, including parts of South America and Africa. There is also speculation that the new gen N125 could arrive in 2027.
Over the years, Bajaj has introduced multiple versions of the Pulsar, but only a few models such as the Pulsar 220F, Pulsar NS series, and the iconic classic variants have consistently performed well in India. More recently, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 from the N-series has also emerged as a strong seller in the market.
