Bajaj Auto is expected to launch the next-generation Pulsar 150 later this month as part of the iconic motorcycle's 25th anniversary celebrations. Since its debut in 2001, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 transformed India's sports commuter segment and became one of the brand's most successful motorcycles.

New-Gen Bajaj Pulsar 150 Set For Big Comeback In July?

Launched in November 2001, the Pulsar 150 became an instant hit among buyers looking for something more exciting than regular commuter motorcycles. Its muscular styling, strong road presence, and reliable performance helped it build a loyal fanbase, especially among younger riders.

Over the years, the Pulsar 150 evolved into one of India's highest-selling motorcycles, creating a strong legacy in the 150cc segment. Now, as the brand completes 25 years, Bajaj appears to be preparing a major generational shift for its most iconic nameplate.

Big Expectations

To mark the milestone, Bajaj could introduce an all-new Pulsar 150 with several new updates. The upcoming model is expected to feature a new chassis, an updated engine, revised suspension setup, and modern features aimed at today's buyers.

The current Pulsar lineup has expanded significantly, ranging from 125cc models to the flagship Bajaj Pulsar 220F, along with newer sub-brands like the Pulsar N, NS, and RS series. However, the Pulsar 150 remains one of the strongest pillars of the lineup, consistently contributing strong sales volumes for the brand.

The new-generation model is expected to carry forward the legacy of the original while adapting to modern market demands. Bajaj could also revive the OG Pulsar 150 in limited numbers as part of a special anniversary edition, featuring signature design elements like a round headlamp, spoke wheels, and a twin-pod instrument console.

Its long-time rivals in India include the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, Honda Unicorn, and Yamaha FZ-Fi. Despite increasing competition, the Pulsar 150 continues to hold strong brand value and remains one of the most recognizable and trusted motorcycles in the segment.
