Next-Gen Bajaj Pulsar 125 Spotted Ahead Of August 12 Launch - Major Changes Spied

The next-generation Bajaj Pulsar 125 has been spotted at a dealership ahead of its official launch on August 12. The images, first shared by Rushlane, reveal an all-new motorcycle with a fresh design, a new frame, a monoshock rear suspension and what appears to be a new engine.

The bike spotted at the dealership is an update to the Classic Pulsar 125, which was last revised in January 2026, and it marks the model's first tail light change since the UG3 update in 2006. Refreshing a mass-market motorcycle so soon after its previous update is a rather unusual move for Bajaj.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Spied: Design And Underpinnings

The new Bajaj Pulsar 125's triangular LED headlight cluster looks sharper and more aggressive than the outgoing model's unit, and it retains the 'Wolf-eye' LED position lights typical of a Pulsar. Turn indicators are halogen units this time, a step back from the LED blinkers on the current Classic Pulsar 125.

The fuel tank of the new Pulsar 125 looks imilar to the one on the outgoing bike, but the tank shrouds have been redesigned to look pointier and more angular. The tail section is sleeker, with fresh creases and split LED tail lights, while some of the main frame is now exposed in a silver finish as a styling element. The spied unit appears to be a base variant with a single-piece seat and grab rail; a higher variant with split seats, a belly pan and LED blinkers could also be in the works.

Underneath sits a new tubular steel frame with the engine as a stressed member, paired with a telescopic fork and a rear monoshock that should be preload-adjustable. This is the first time a Classic Pulsar has used a monoshock setup, a configuration last seen on the now-discontinued Pulsar N125, and it likely required a new rear subframe.

The Pulsar 125 continues to ride on 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres that appear unchanged when compared to the current model, while braking is handled by a front disc and rear drum.

Bajaj Pulsar 125 Spied: Engine, Features And Expected Price

The engine on the next-gen Pulsar 125 could be carried over from the current Classic Pulsar 125. The current powerplant is a 124.38cc single-cylinder air-cooled unit that makes 11.63bhp and 10.8 Nm of peak torque that is sent to the rear wheel by a 5-speed gearbox. The exhaust setup though looks new. It is no longer cylindrical in shape and appears to be slightly larger than the outgoing unit. The fuel tank capacity of the new Pulsar 125 could stay at 15 litres, the same as before.

A bigger colour LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, and possibly turn-by-turn navigation will headline the features list of the new Pulsar 125 alongside the LED lighting setup.

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 competes in a crowded 125cc segment against the TVS Raider, Hero Xtreme 125R and Honda Shine. The current Bajaj Pulsar 125 is priced from Rs 82,425 ex-showroom, and the new model is expected to stay in the same Rs 80,000 to Rs 85,000 (ex-showroom) bracket to stay competitive.
