Bajaj Confirms All Its Motorcycles Are E20 Compatible With Warranty Coverage
Bajaj Auto has assured that all its motorcycles are E20-compliant amid growing concerns regarding the compatibility of E20 fuel with modern vehicles. This includes the motorcycles which are manufacture over the last 10 years.
India is moving towards greener fuels, and ethanol blending is a key part of this initiative. By increasing ethanol blending, India aims to reduce its dependence on imported crude oil, thereby moving towards self-reliance while saving valuable foreign exchange.
Bajaj Auto Assures Consumers with E20 Fuel Warranty

Bajaj is one of the most popular two-wheeler brands in India, known for models like the Pulsar, Dominar, and Platina, which are among the best-selling motorcycles in the country. Amid growing concerns regarding the compatibility of E20 fuel, Bajaj has assured that all the motorcycles it manufactures are E20-compatible.
This includes all models manufactured over the last 10 years. The warranty will also cover all its motorcycles with regard to the use of ethanol-blended fuel. The company credits its R&D team for the extensive research and development that made all its motorcycles E20-compatible. Bajaj also manufactures motorcycles for KTM, Triumph, and Husqvarna, which are also compatible with E20 fuel.

Users who already own Bajaj motorcycles will continue to enjoy warranty coverage against potential engine damage. However, Bajaj acknowledges that the motorcycles may experience a slight decrease in fuel efficiency.

However, fuel efficiency also depends on several other factors, including riding conditions, tyre pressure, motorcycle maintenance, traffic, and riding style. Bajaj also sells motorcycles in the Brazilian market, where petrol contains up to 27% ethanol.
The company's experience in that market has helped it develop E20-compatible motorcycles for Indian consumers. As a result, all its engines are designed to withstand higher ethanol content without compromising quality.
No Retro fit Kits Needed

The company also stated that there is no need for any retrofits to make its motorcycles ethanol-compatible. Across the country, ethanol blending remains a growing concern among consumers, especially those using vehicles that are more than five years old.
Bajaj Auto's assurance is expected to be a major relief for its customers in India as well as overseas markets. The government has also directed every OEM in India to manufacture vehicles that are compatible with E20 fuel and capable of handling higher ethanol blends in the future.
