Bajaj Dominar 400 Goes 350cc: Launched At ₹ 2.03 Lakh - Now Over ₹37k Cheaper
Bajaj has launched a reworked version of the Dominar 400 in India, now powered by a smaller 350cc engine. The new 350cc Dominar 400 is priced at ₹ 2,03,214 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it ₹ 37,014 more affordable than before.
The price drop for the Bajaj Dominar 400 comes courtesy of revised GST norms, which Bajaj has cleverly leveraged to reposition the bike, the same strategy it followed with the recently launched 350cc Triumph range.

While the Dominar 400 remains the same from the outside, it is the internals that Bajaj has tinkered with, and it continues to be available in two colour options: Aurora Green and Charcoal Black.
The new 2026 Bajaj Dominar 400 now features a 349.13cc engine with a bore of 89mm and a 56.1mm stroke, with the latter now 3.9mm shorter than the one seen on the Dominar's previous 373cc powerplant. The result is an engine that pushes out 40.4bhp and 33.2Nm of peak torque. This marks a drop of 2bhp and 1.8Nm of torque.
Despite the change in engine capacity, the Dominar 400's core proportions remain unchanged. It has 157mm of ground clearance and a kerb weight of 193kg, which means the bike continues to feel substantial on the road. It rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends and features a 13-litre fuel tank.

The Bajaj Dominar 400 continues with its premium hardware setup, including an upside-down fork and a monoshock. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS. Feature-wise, it remains well-equipped with full-LED lighting, a digital instrument console, switchable traction control, four ride modes: Road, Rain, Sport and Off-road, along with a slip-and-assist clutch.
Speaking on the announcement, Sarang Kanade, President - MCBU, Bajaj Auto Ltd., said, "Dominar has always stood for our touring DNA - powerful, capable, and built for the long road. With the new Dominar 400 with 350cc engine we are staying true to that promise while making it significantly more accessible. Riders get the same Dominar experience they love, but now with a much lower cost of ownership, including meaningful savings. This is a decisive step towards democratizing touring and sports motorcycling in India."
DriveSpark Thinks
The Bajaj Dominar 400 has always been positioned as a no-nonsense sport touring machine, one that can cover long distances effortlessly while remaining manageable in daily riding conditions. With the shift to a 350cc engine, Bajaj seems to be chasing accessibility. The idea is simple: retain the Dominar's touring DNA, but make it easier to own and live with.
