2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street Launched At Rs 1.30 Lakh

Bajaj Auto has launched the Avenger 220 Street in India at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street cruiser motorcycle returns to the brand's lineup after being discontinued and now joins the Avenger Cruise 220.

The launch of the 2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street comes shortly after the Avenger Street 160 which was removed from sale. The new Avenger 220 Street replaces the Street 160 as the most affordable way into Bajaj's Avenger cruiser range.

2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street - Engine & Other Mechanical Bits

Power comes from a 220cc oil-cooled, single-cylinder DTS-i engine that produces 19.03PS and 17.55Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The 220cc engine is shared with the Avenger Cruise 220 and remains unchanged from the previous 220 Street that was sold in India.

The 2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street is built around a tubular double-cradle frame. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking is provided by a front disc and rear drum setup supported by single-channel ABS. The motorcycle rides on a 17-inch front wheel and a 15-inch rear wheel.

Other feature highlights on the Bajaj Avenger 220 Street include a semi-digital instrument console, LED daytime running light and alloy wheels.

2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street - Blacked-Out Design

The Avenger 220 Street retains its low-slung cruiser silhouette with a relaxed riding position and forward-set footpegs. Compared to the Cruise 220, the Street variant adopts a darker appearance with blacked-out mechanical components and alloy wheels.

The 2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street features a flatter handlebar and a cleaner design. Unlike the Cruise variant, it does without the large windscreen and pillion backrest. Bajaj is offering the 2026 Avenger 220 Street in Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red colour options.

Priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2026 Bajaj Avenger 220 Street sits close to the Avenger Cruise 220 in Bajaj's lineup. The two motorcycles share their engine and underpinnings, with styling being the primary difference.
