Ather Konarc Launched At Rs 99,999 - 200km Range, 1350W Combined Charging, Magic Key & More
The Ather Konarc has bee launched in India at Ather's Annual Community Day and is , priced from Rs 99,999 ex-showroom, Bengaluru. The Konarc is the first scooter built on the company's new EL platform, which prioritises lower costs, simpler servicing and easier charging over outright performance.
The Ather Konarc is offered across S and Z lines with multiple battery and range options, and colour choices differ between the two families. Deliveries begin from September 2026 and will be staggered across variants.
Ather Konarc: Price, Variants & Battery Options
The Ather Konarc S 100 uses a 2.1kWh battery good for 100km IDC range and 80km TrueRange, producing 4kW and 16Nm. The S 125 and S 161 get larger 2.7kWh and 3.5kWh batteries, both producing 4.7kW and 16Nm, with TrueRange rated at 100km and 130km. All three S variants share a claimed top speed of 70km/h. The Z line trades some range for a higher 80km/h top speed, according to Ather.
The Konarc S 100 is priced at Rs 99,999, the S 125 at Rs 1,21,999 and the S 161 at Rs 1,44,999, all ex-showroom, Bengaluru. Pricing for the 200km S and both Konarc Z variants, offered with 125km and 161km IDC range, has not been announced yet.

The S line will be offered in five colours, while the Z line gets four.
Home charging from 0 to 80 percent with the standard 450W onboard charger takes 4 hours for the S 100, 4 hours 30 minutes for the S 125 and 5 hours 40 minutes for the S 161. Adding the optional 900W off-board charger raises total charging capacity to 1.35kW and cuts those times to 2 hours, 2 hours 25 minutes and 3 hours 10 minutes, respectively.
Fast-charging speed is rated at 13km added in 10 minutes for the S 100, and 15km in 10 minutes for the S 125 and S 161. The Konarc also introduces longer service intervals, with periodic maintenance due once every 10,000km or one year, whichever comes first.
Ather Konarc: Platform, Chassis and Ride Comfort
Ather built the EL platform using 26 lakh kilometres of field data, introducing a new chassis, powertrain and electronics architecture. The company says a lower component count can make assembly 15 percent faster and periodic servicing up to twice as fast.
At its launch event, Ather had technicians dismantle and reassemble the Konarc's battery and motor in around three minutes on stage, demonstrating the platform's serviceability.
The Konarc rides on a 14-inch front wheel and a 12-inch rear wheel, with 90mm of front suspension travel and 100mm at the rear. Its 1,352mm wheelbase is the longest of any Ather scooter, aimed at improving stability on broken surfaces.
The S 100 uses drum brakes at both ends, while the S 125 and S 161 pair a 220mm front disc with a 130mm rear drum. The S 100 weighs 126.5kg and the S 161 weighs 129kg.
The dimensions suggest Ather has moved towards a more settled, family-scooter character than the compact 450. The pillion seat gets a padded grab handle and an adjustable backrest.
Ather Konarc: Features and Technology
The Konarc offers 31 litres of underseat storage along with an 18W USB Type-C port and an underseat lamp. The S 100 gets a 4.2-inch DeepView display, while the S 125 and S 161 get a larger 7-inch DeepView display.
Other features include Park Assist, which uses the motor to help reverse the scooter, and AutoHold, which keeps it stationary when stopped. The motor is a PMSM unit with IP67 protection, and the battery is also IP67-rated and housed in an aluminium casing.
The Konarc Z gets Ather's new AeBS, or Advanced Electronic Braking System, which uses electronic control to reduce stopping distances and minimise rear-wheel lock-ups. Ather says the system offers greater control during hard braking.
The Z also introduces MagicKey, which lets riders unlock the scooter's boot through the Ather app instead of a physical key. On the Konarc Z 161, MagicKey works with the boot's AutoPop function to open it automatically.
Konarc Z-specific technology extends to Google Maps and WhatsApp on the dashboard, along with cricket scores displayed when the scooter is stationary. The Konarc also gets Ather Connect, which includes theft and tow alerts, ride statistics, Find My Scooter and remote charging-status monitoring, alongside OTA update support.
