Ather Energy has increased the prices of its best-selling electric scooter, the Rizta, in India. Effective from June 1, 2026, the Ather Rizta is now up to ₹4,000 more expensive than before, depending on the variant.
Ather Rizta Family Electric Scooter Gets A Price Hike
The Rizta has emerged as one of the most popular family-oriented electric scooters in the country. Positioned in the mass-market segment, it competes with rivals from brands such as TVS and Bajaj. With the latest price revision, the base variant has become approximately ₹3,000 more expensive, while the higher-spec variant now costs around ₹4,000 more than before.

Battery, Performance And Features
The Ather Rizta is available in two variants: S and Z. The Rizta S is powered by a 4.3 kW electric motor that produces 22 Nm of torque and can reach a top speed of 80 km/h. It is offered with 2.9 kWh and 3.7 kWh battery pack options, delivering a claimed IDC range of 123 km and 159 km, respectively.
Feature highlights include a 7-inch DeepView display, turn-by-turn navigation, regenerative braking, CBS braking system, LED lighting, 34-litre storage capacity, multiple riding modes, Auto Hold, Guide Me Home lights, Vehicle Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), call and music controls, and Ather Connect features.

Top-Spec Rizta Z
The higher-spec Rizta Z variant is available with the same battery pack options and range figures but comes with a significantly more advanced feature package. It also costs more than the base variant.
Additional features include a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display, Magic Twist, skid control, auto-brightness adjustment, optimised charging, remote functions, pothole alerts, crash alerts, Cricket Dash, LockSafe, Google-powered navigation, document storage, WhatsApp preview, live location sharing, and call decline with text responses.

DriveSpark's Views
The latest price hike is likely linked to rising production costs and ongoing global supply chain challenges. Despite the increase, the Ather Rizta remains one of the most preferred family electric scooters in India.
Its combination of practicality, performance, and technology continues to attract buyers, while models such as the TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak are also playing a significant role in accelerating electric vehicle adoption across the country.
