A majority of this growth has come in the last 16 months, during which the company added over 3 lakh units to its total sales. Ather began operations in 2018, but initial sales were limited and were further impacted during the COVID-19 period. The brand started gaining momentum in 2022, and by 2023, it crossed the 1 lakh sales milestone. By 2025, cumulative sales had reached 3 lakh units.

In the last 16 months, sales surged further, helping the brand achieve the 6 lakh milestone. In 2026 so far (January to April), Ather has consistently maintained its position among the top three EV two-wheeler brands, delivering around 1 lakh units to customers.
