Made-in-India Aprilia RS 457 Becomes Italy’s No.2 Bike – Beats Ducati & KTM!
The India-made Aprilia RS 457 has become the second-best-selling motorcycle in Italy. The Italian brand has announced that the RS 660 tops the list, followed by the entry-level RS 457 sportbike. Both these motorcycles emerged as the highest-selling fully faired bikes in the Italian market in 2025.
Aprilia RS 457 Becomes 2nd Best Selling Motorcycle
Italian motorcycle manufacturer Aprilia operates in multiple countries, with India among its key markets. The brand has a manufacturing facility in Maharashtra, where it locally produces the RS 457 sportbike.

The Piaggio Group-owned brand sells sporty scooters and motorcycles here, which are quite popular among younger buyers. In its home market, Italy, Aprilia offers a wide range of products, from the entry-level RS 125 to the flagship RSV4 superbike.
It has been reported that Aprilia's RS 660 and RS 457 have become the most preferred motorcycles in their home country. The RS 660 was the best-selling fully faired motorcycle for Aprilia in 2025, followed by the India-made RS 457.

Both these bikes together accounted for 21% of the segment's market share in 2025. This highlights the strong success of these models in both domestic and international markets. Notably, Aprilia's European sales in the fully faired segment have surpassed those of its key rivals, Ducati and KTM.
