Ampere Reo Vyb Launched At Rs 69,499 With 80km Range

Ampere Electric has expanded its entry-level electric scooter range with the launch of the new Reo Vyb. Priced at Rs 69,499 (ex-showroom), the low-speed electric scooter is aimed at urban commuters, students, senior citizens, and first-time EV buyers looking for a simple mobility solution.

The Ampere Reo Vyb joins the recently updated Reo family and remains classified as a low-speed electric scooter. With a top speed of 25km/h, riders do not require a driving licence or vehicle registration, making it accessible to a wider group of users.

Ampere Reo Vyb Launched - Range & Battery Pack

Power for the Ampere Reo Vyb comes from a 1.44kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack paired with a 250W BLDC hub motor. Ampere claims an IDC-certified riding range of up to 80km on a single charge, while charging from 0 to 100 percent takes around five to six hours using a standard household socket.

The LFP battery chemistry is designed to offer improved thermal stability and longer service life compared to conventional battery technologies. Ampere also claims the battery delivers up to 30 percent additional cycle life for everyday usage.

Ampere Reo Vyb Launched - Feature Upgrades Over Standard Reo

The Ampere Reo Vyb receives several equipment upgrades over the standard Reo 80 variant. These include a coloured LCD instrument cluster, keyless start with key fob, ambient side lighting, LED lighting elements, and a front disc brake setup.

Storage capacity has also been increased significantly. The scooter offers a 24-litre under-seat storage compartment, making it more practical for carrying groceries, backpacks, and daily essentials during urban commutes.

Built on a lightweight platform weighing around 71kg, the Ampere Reo Vyb is designed for short-distance city travel. The scooter rides on 10-inch wheels and uses a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear. It also features tubeless tyres and an automatic transmission layout.

Additional features include a digital speedometer, trip meter, keyless ignition, USB charging support, low battery indicator, remote start function, and LED turn indicators. The scooter is available in multiple colour options including Black, Blue, Purple, and White.
