Ampere, the electric scooter marque of Greaves Electric Mobility has launched the Magnus G Max electric scooter in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹94,999.

The Magnus G Max uses a hub-mounted electric motor with a 1.5 kW nominal output and a 2.4 kW peak output, offering Eco, City and Reverse riding modes, and a top speed of up to 65 kmph.Power is supplied by a fixed 3 kWh LFP battery pack, mounted within the scooter's chassis.
Ampere claims a real-world range of over 100 km in Eco Mode (142km certified range) for the Magnus G Max on a single charge. With a standard home charger, the battery pack can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in 4.5 hours.

Braking duties are handled by a front disc brake and a rear drum brake, with a Combined Braking System (CBS) offered as standard. The Magnus G Max rides on alloy wheels with tubeless tyres.
In terms of equipment, the Magnus G Max comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster that displays basic ride information, including speed, battery level, and trip data. The scooter also includes LED headlamp and tail lamp units, a USB charging port, a side-stand indicator and 33-litre underseat storage.
The Ampere Magnus G Max features a traditional step-through scooter design, characterised by a flat floorboard and an upright seating posture. Seat height and ergonomics are tuned for city riding, with an emphasis on ease of use in traffic and at low speeds.
With the introduction of the Magnus G Max, Ampere strengthens its presence in the sub-₹1 lakh electric scooter space, where competition has intensified over the past year and recently saw the arrival of the Bajaj Chetak C2501.
