Ampere Crosses 3 Lakh EV Scooter Sales In India: A Big Milestone For Greaves

Greaves Electric Mobility has achieved a major milestone of 3 lakh unit sales in India through its Ampere electric scooters. With this achievement, Ampere has now strengthened its position as one of the top 10 electric scooter brands in the country.

Ampere EV Scooter Sales Crosses 3 Lakh Units

Ampere, the EV startup owned by Greaves Electric Mobility, has crossed the historic 3 lakh sales milestone in the Indian market. According to an Autocar India report, the brand achieved this milestone with its sales performance in the last month.

The brand has grown steadily over the years and is now among the more recognised electric scooter manufacturers in India, competing with brands like TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy, Hero MotoCorp, and Ola Electric.

Earlier this year in February, the company had achieved a sales milestone of 2.70 lakh units. In just the last three months, Ampere has added another 30,000 units to its total sales, showing strong growth momentum in the highly competitive EV market.

Ampere currently sells three key electric scooters in India - the Ampere Nexus, Ampere Magnus, and Ampere Reo. These models are known for offering a practical range, reliable performance, and affordable pricing for daily commuters.

The Nexus is the brand's flagship electric scooter, targeted at premium buyers looking for better range, advanced technology, and improved riding dynamics. Meanwhile, the Magnus and Reo attracts budget-conscious customers, offering accessible EV mobility at prices below Rs 1 lakh.

The company also has a strong retail and after-sales network with over 500 dealerships across India. Ampere is currently the sixth-largest electric two-wheeler brand by monthly sales and has even outperformed Ola Electric in some recent months, highlighting its growing market strength.

Indian EV ecosystem is growing rapidly with many new players entering the segment and increasing the competition. Despite all that, TVS still leads the race followed by Bajaj Auto and Ather energy.
