The 24th Edition of International Jawa-Yezdi Day was celebrated in India yesterday (12 July), drawing over 7,500 riders across the nation. The International Jawa-Yezdi Day, held annually on the second Sunday of July, has evolved from a small owner-led gathering into a global motorcycling tradition.

This year's edition brought together over 7,500 riders from 150 cities across India. The scale of this year's festivities was made possible by the collective efforts of more than 40 Jawa-Yezdi rider clubs, alongside dealerships and independent enthusiast communities across the country.

In Bangalore this year, over 500 motorcycles participated in the celebrations which was organised with the help of the Bangalore Jawa Yezdi Motorcycle Club (BJYMC). Vintage Jawa and Yezdi motorcycles that have been ridden over multiple decades continued to share the road with current-generation models during the celebrations with riders across multiple generations taking part in the celebrations, united by a common passion for riding and a shared connection to the heritage of the Jawa and Yezdi brands.

This year, the International Jawa-Yezdi Day celebration reached a total of 11 countries, where riders marked the occasion through local rides, community gatherings and online participation. Jawa communities from around the world joined hands with riding clubs across India this year under a common identity. This collaboration between International and Indian riding groups helped link celebrations across different continents.

Anupam Thareja, Co-founder, Classic Legends, said, "Twenty-four years ago, International Jawa-Yezdi Day began as a simple expression of passion among riders who wanted to celebrate the motorcycles they loved. Today, it has grown into a global tradition that transcends borders and generations. What makes IJYD truly special is that it belongs to the riders themselves. Every ride, every gathering and every shared story keeps this legacy alive. More importantly, it celebrates the friendships, communities and memories built around these motorcycles. We are honoured to be a part of movement that continues to grow stronger with every passing year."
