2027 Suzuki Hayabusa Revealed: Gets New Colours, Special Edition

Japanese bikemaker Suzuki has unveiled the 2027 Hayabusa with a fresh set of colour options and a new Special Edition variant. The changes to the 2027 Suzuki Hayabusa are cosmetic and the flagship hyperbike's engine, chassis and electronics package are completely unchanged.

2027 Suzuki Hayabusa: Colour Options and Special Edition

The 2027 Suzuki Hayabusa is offered in two standard shades, Glass Sparkle Black and Metallic Reflective Blue, both with black wheels. Suzuki has also introduced a new Special Edition trim for the 2027 Hayabusa finished in Pearl Brilliant White and Metallic Oort Grey with red graphics.

The Special Edition adds a colour-matched solo seat cowl, black exhaust end caps, a raised 3D Suzuki emblem on the fuel tank and Special Edition badging. Red-highlighted wheels, gold-anodised front brake rotors and chain adjusters complete the package, along with Hayabusa Kanji graphics on the fairing.

2027 Suzuki Hayabusa: Engine and Gearbox

Powering the 2027 Suzuki Hayabusa is the familiar 1,340cc, liquid-cooled inline four-cylinder engine that produces 190bhp and 150Nm of peak torque. The Busa's engine continues to be paired with a six-speed gearbox and it also comes with a bi-directional quickshifter.

The engine's flexibility allows the motorcycle to be ridden anywhere between 60kmph and 300kmph in sixth gear without a downshift, a characteristic that has defined the Hayabusa nameplate since its launch.

2027 Suzuki Hayabusa: Electronics and Safety

The electronics suite for the 2027 Suzuki Hayabusa is built around Suzuki's Intelligent Ride System and offers multiple ride and power modes alongside traction control, engine brake control, launch control and hill hold control. The cruise control setup and a TFT-LCD instrument console have also been carried over unchanged from the previous version of the motorcycle.

The Hayabusa continues to use its aluminium twin-spar frame, suspended by KYB units at both ends. Braking duties are carried out by large disc brakes clamped down by Brembo Stylema calipers aided by dual-channel ABS with cornering ABS, working alongside the ride-mode-linked traction control system already offered on the motorcycle.

The Suzuki Hayabusa is currently priced at Rs 18.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) in India, where the motorcycle has built a cult following partly owing to its appearance in the 2004 Bollywood film Dhoom. Suzuki Motorcycle India has previously introduced global colour updates to the Hayabusa lineup, which suggests the new 2027 shades could arrive in India within the coming months.
