2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica Unveiled - Luciano Benavides Factory Edition Gets Red Bull KTM Dakar Livery

KTM has unveiled the 2027 450 Rally Replica - the closest a privateer can get to the Austrian brand's factory Dakar machine - off the back of its 2026 Dakar victory. Two versions have been announced: the standard 450 Rally Replica, limited to just over 100 units and priced at £33,148 (approximately Rs. 42.44 lakh), and the Luciano Benavides Factory Edition at £42,544 (approximately Rs. 54.47 lakh).

The standard 2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica carries KTM's signature orange livery and a numbered limited-edition frame badge. The Benavides Factory Edition adds the full Red Bull KTM factory livery.

The platform behind the 2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica has now helped the Austrain firm secured four Dakar titles since 2020 with multiple riders. Bookings are open internationally, with availability from July 2026.

2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica - Engine & Gearbox

The 449.3cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC single-cylinder four-stroke gets a reworked cylinder head for 2027, with shaped intake ports and four titanium valves operated via DLC-coated rocker arms. A Keihin EMS with a 44mm throttle body handles fuel delivery, using rally-specific ECU mappings matched to the airbox and exhaust combination.

Drive goes through a six-speed gearbox with a Brembo hydraulic clutch and rally-specific gearing. The titanium Akrapovič exhaust is fitted as standard, with a hydro-formed lower section for maximum ground clearance.

The hydro-formed, laser-cut steel frame has been redesigned - tube wall thickness, the forged steering head connection, and rotating mass have all been repositioned for improved torsional rigidity.

Suspension comes from WP Pro Components at both ends: a 48mm WP XACT PRO 7548 Cone Valve fork up front and a fully adjustable WP XACT PRO 7750 shock at the rear.

Braking is handled by Brembo throughout - 300mm front disc and 240mm rear - with EXCEL alloy rims and cast aluminium hubs. CNC-machined triple clamps carry a 23mm offset, paired with KTM's in-house PHDS system and a Scott's steering damper.

2027 KTM 450 Rally Replica - Fuelling & Other Equipment

Total fuel capacity is 35 litres - split across two 9-litre front tanks and a 16-litre self-supporting rear tank that doubles as the subframe. Independent pumps for each circuit allow selective activation and serve as a backup system; integrated warning lights illuminate when either reserve is triggered.

The navigation tower is carbon fibre, now positioned behind a narrower fairing for improved aerodynamics. The 2027 bike also gains provisions for a digital roadbook - already mandatory in the car, SSV, and truck Dakar categories.

Both variants come with carbon fibre brake disc guards and tank pads, a tapered aluminium handlebar, wider footpegs, and a tool storage bay integrated into the engine cover. A Li-Ion 4.5 Ah battery powers the electric starter.
