2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 Launched At Rs 8.63 Lakh

Kawasaki has launched the MY27 Versys 650 in India at Rs 8.63 lakh, with deliveries likely to have already begun after the brand confirmed a start by the end of August. The update over the outgoing MY26 model is limited to a new Candy Lime Green colour option, which is the only shade offered on the MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650.

Pricing, features and the mechanical package all carry over unchanged from last year, for the MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650. The 649cc parallel-twin motorcycle continues to be offered as a single variant with no changes to its underpinnings.

MY27 Kawasaki Versys 650: Engine, Chassis & Features

Power for the MY27 Versys 650 continues to come from a 649cc parallel-twin engine producing 67hp at 8,500rpm and 61Nm at 7,000rpm. The liquid-cooled powerplan is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch.

The MY27 Kawasaki Verysys sports a tubular diamond frame, suspended on a 41mm telescopic front fork with 150mm of travel and a rear monoshock offering 145mm of travel with remote preload adjustability.

Braking duties on the Versys 650 are handled by dual 300 mm front discs and a single 250 mm rear disc that are aided by dual-channel ABS. The MY2027 Kawasaki Versys 650 rides on 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 120/70 ZR17 M/C (front) and 160/60 ZR17 M/C (rear) tyres.

With its 21-litre fuel tank full, the Kawasaki Versys 650 tips the scales at 220kg. Seat height is set at 845mm, and ground clearance stands at 170mm. The MY27 Verysys 650 features an adjustable windscreen, a 4.3-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, traction control and full LED lighting.
