2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Launched At Rs 5.76 Lakh

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has launched the 2027 Ninja 500 in India at Rs 5.76 lakh, ex-showroom. The price of the 2027 Ninja 500 is unchanged from the outgoing model's price tag. Bookings are open at all Kawasaki dealerships across the country, with deliveries set to begin soon.

The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 carries over largely as before, with the only update being a fresh paint option for the new model year. Where the international version offers two colour choices, the Indian market bike is limited to a single Lime Green scheme.

This 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500's Lime Green colourway pairs the familiar Kawasaki green with contrasting white and blue graphics. The rest of the motorcycle, including its design, engine, and underpinnings, remains identical to the outgoing model.

The 2027 Ninja 500 continues with its sharp Ninja design language, built around twin LED headlights up front and a slim tail section at the rear. A side-swept exhaust adds to the sporty stance that has carried over unchanged from the previous model year.

One area that has not moved to LED is the turn indicators, which continue to use halogen units. This remains consistent with how the motorcycle has been specced since its previous update.

The 2027 Kawasaki Ninja 500 continues to be powered by the same 451cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, producing 44.77bhp and 42.6Nm of peak torque. This motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes fitted with an assist and slipper clutch The clutch setup lightens lever feel for everyday riding and helps prevent rear-wheel lockup during aggressive downshifts.

Underpinning the Ninja 500 is a lightweight trellis frame, paired with a telescopic fork up front and a linked monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch wheels at both ends, with disc brakes handling stopping duties front and rear. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard on the Ninja 500.

The Ninja 500 also gets a high-contrast LCD instrument console that displays key riding information. Smartphone connectivity is offered on the higher-spec version of the motorcycle, adding a layer of feature equipment over the base trim.

Kawasaki quotes a claimed top speed of 190km/h for the Ninja 500, along with a kerb weight of 171kg. In India, the motorcycle competes in the sub-500cc sportsbike segment against rivals such as the Aprilia RS 457.
