2026 Suzuki Burgman 125: What’s New In The Updated Maxi Scooter?
Suzuki Motorcycle has launched the 2026 Burgman 125 in India with a refreshed design and several new features. Marking its first major update since 2018, the popular maxi-scooter finally gets a significant upgrade. Here's a look at what's new in the updated Burgman 2026.
2026 Suzuki Burgman 125: What's New?
The 2026 Burgman is built on a new lightweight chassis shared with the latest Access 125. The Torsional rigidity of this scooter has been increased by 25%, improving overall strength and enhancing stability at high speeds as well as during cornering.

Revised LED Lighting
Earlier, the Burgman Street 125 featured a single LED headlamp. The updated model now gets twin-pod LED headlamps, similar to the global Burgman lineup. It also features integrated LED DRLs and updated LED tail lamps.
Advanced Technologies
The new model comes equipped with a 4.2-inch TFT display with turn-by-turn navigation, available in the Ride Connect TFT edition. The display offers a clear UI with excellent visibility, especially during night rides. It also gets keyless ignition along with an external fuel lid for added convenience.

More Practicality
Suzuki has further enhanced practicality and daily usability. The Burgman now offers 24 litres of under-seat storage. Already known for its comfort and practicality, these additions further improve the overall riding experience. The Old Burgman had a 10 inch wheel and this new Burgman is upgraded with a larger 12 inch wheel for better ride.
Engine Tuning
The 124cc air-cooled engine has been retuned for improved low-end acceleration with revised torque delivery. This not only enhances rideability in city conditions but also improves fuel efficiency. The CVT has also been optimised for better efficiency, particularly in the 30-60 km/h range.

Other Changes
The scooter is now available in new premium colour options such as Pearl Grace White, Matte Stellar Blue, and Royal Bronze. The top-spec variant also gets Matte Luxe Copper accents. Pricing for the 2026 Burgman starts at ₹1.02 lakh (ex-showroom).
At present, the Burgman has very few direct competitors, thanks to its unique maxi-scooter design and styling. Its riding posture remains one of its strongest advantages, offering a relaxed and fatigue-free riding experience for daily commutes as well as longer rides.
