Bajaj Auto has launched the new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z with a revised 349cc engine to benefit from the GST 2.0 regulations. This move significantly reduces the overall cost, making the motorcycle more accessible to buyers in the performance segment.

The brand has introduced a major change in the powertrain while retaining several premium components. With the engine now under 350cc, customers benefit from a lower 18% GST rate instead of 40%. Here's what has changed in the 2026 Pulsar NS400Z.

New 349cc Engine

The biggest update comes in the form of a 349cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 40.6 PS and 33.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The earlier NS400Z was powered by a 373cc engine.

Bajaj has revised the stroke length while retaining the same bore size of 89mm. Despite a slight drop in power, the new setup is expected to offer better refinement and improved fuel efficiency.

Most of the hardware remains unchanged, including 43mm USD front forks and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. This ensures that the motorcycle continues to offer strong handling and ride dynamics.

The motorcycle is offered in four colour options such as Glossy Racing Red, Brooklyn Black, Pewter Grey, Pearl Metallic White. The new NS400Z is priced at ₹1.93 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most value-for-money offerings in its segment.
