2026 Ampere Magnus Neo Launched At ₹86,999 - Lighter Build, 118km IDC

Greaves Electric Mobility has launched the updated 22026 Ampere Magnus Neo in India at ₹86,999 ex-showroom - unchanged from the outgoing model. Under the PM e-Drive scheme, extended till July 31, 2026, buyers can avail a subsidy of up to ₹5,000. The 2026 Magnus Neo directly rivals the TVS Orbiter V1 and Hero Vida VX2 in the budget electric scooter segment.

The 2026 scooter runs a 2.4 kW BLDC hub motor producing 110 Nm of wheel torque, drawing from a 2.3 kWh LAmpere Magnus NeoFP battery rated IP67. IDC range stands at 118 km; top speed is 65 kmph.

A 0-80 percent charge takes 5 hours via the 7.5A off-board charger. Ampere claims a battery life of up to 10 years, with cells tested between -40°C and 60°C. Battery warranty is 5 years or 75,000 km; vehicle warranty covers 3 years or 30,000 km.

The Magnus Neo rides a high-strength dual steel frame, with hydraulic telescopic forks up front and coil spring rear suspension. Ground clearance is 158 mm - while overall dimensions are 1,915 mm long, 690 mm wide, and 1,260 mm tall, on a 1,390 mm wheelbase.

Kerb weight drops to 103 kg on the new variant, with a 777 mm seat height and a 150 kg load capacity. Both ends use 130 mm drum brakes; tyres are 90/90-12 tubeless on steel wheels.
The scooter clocks 0-40 kmph in 6.5 seconds and has a gradeability of 12 degrees.

The instrument cluster is a 3.5-inch LCD unit displaying speed, odometer, tripmeter, and clock, with a stand alarm, hazard warning indicator, and high-beam indicator. Three ride modes and a reverse mode are standard, with reverse speed capped at 3 kmph. Other features include a USB charging port, carry hook, passenger footrest, and 22 litres of underseat storage.

Safety tech covers live tracking, Find My Scooter, and anti-theft alarm as standard. Lighting is LED at the front and turn signals, with a bulb unit at the tail.

The 2026 Magnus Neo comes in four colours: Mystic Mauve, Butter Yellow, Ocean Blue, and Matcha Green.
