Reasons to buy the Yamaha XSR 155
Neo-Retro Design
In India, Retro bikes are very popular and nowadays many youngsters prefer a classic-style bike with modern features. Yamaha has taken that into account and built this XSR 155 as a Neo Retro sports bike. The bike is sleek, muscular, retro-themed, and has many modern features.
The R15 DNA

It uses the same tried-and-tested 155cc liquid-cooled SOHC 4-valve VVA engine as the MT-15 and R15. But the new XSR 155 engine tuning is more like the R15 than the MT. So we could expect the same level of performance.
The single-cylinder engine is a rev-free unit that produces 18.4 PS of power at 10,000 rpm, 14.2 NM of torque at 7,500 rpm and is attached to a 6-speed gearbox. The R15 is known for its reliability, performance and modern features. Yamaha wants to replicate the same vibe with the XSR 155.
Modern features
Though it is a neo-retro bike, the XSR 155 comes with many modern equipments such as a Round LED headlamp, a round LCD console, Smartphone connectivity via the Y-Connect app, LED flashers, and LED taillights.

Safety and equipment
For safety, this bike has a Deltabox Frame, a front USD telescopic fork, a Linked Monoshock, 17-inch tubeless tyres, dual-channel ABS, a Traction control system, a 10-litre fuel tank, a Slipper assist clutch, and Disc brakes at both the front and rear.
Pricing and Colours
Yamaha XSR 155 also has two customisation kits: Cafe Racer and Scrambler. It comes in 4 colours: Metallic Grey, Vivid Red, Greyish Green Metallic and Metallic Blue. The price of the Yamaha XSR 155 starts at 1,49,990 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).
