Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid Launched At Rs 149,990 - Hybrid Fuel Sipper
Yamaha has launched the FZ-X Hybrid in India. The new Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid is priced at Rs 149,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The FZ-X Hybrid is adorned in a unique matte green color known as Matte Titan and complemented sees Yamaha expand its hybrid motorcycle portfolio in India.
The Yamaha FZ-X Hybrid costs Rs 20,000 more than its standard FZ-X counterpart and Rs 5,000 more than the FZ-S Hybrid. It shares quite a few parts with the FZ-S Hybrid such as the Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) for silent starts and start/stop technology, along with a 4.2-inch color TFT display enhanced with revised switchgear.

At the heart of the FZ-X Hybrid lies a 149cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 12.4hp and 13.3Nm, identical to the output of the non-hybrid FZ models. This engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The FZ-X Hybrid's primary focus is on improving fuel efficiency rather than boosting performance, which explains why the engine outputs remain unchanged from the standard version. Moreover, the design and key specifications of the FZ-X Hybrid mirror those of the regular FZ-X model, with the only noticeable difference being an increase in weight by 2kg to 141kg.

Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group, expressed his enthusiasm for the new model, stating, "We were thrilled by the overwhelming response to our Hybrid Technology when we introduced it in the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid. Extending this breakthrough to the FZ-X model felt like a natural next step. We are confident that adding hybrid power to the FZ-X model will further boost Yamaha's appeal, particularly among riders who seek a practical yet premium riding experience. At Yamaha, we continually listen to our customers' evolving needs, and this latest offering underscores our commitment to innovation. By integrating advanced technology with a deep understanding of rider needs, Yamaha is redefining the future of mobility."
