Ultraviolette X-47 Launched At ₹2.49 Lakh – 323km Range, ADAS, 610Nm Torque

Ultraviolette has launched the Ultraviolette X-47 electric crossover motorcycle in India. The Ultraviolette X-47 is being offered at an introductory price of ₹2.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the first 1,000 customers. Once this batch is sold, the base price will move up to ₹2.74 lakh (ex-showroom).

The X-47 is built on the company's F77 platform and is described as a crossover with dual-purpose ability and is the production version of the firm's X Concept revealed at EICMA 2024. The new Ultraviolette X-47 carries over the angular styling, a single-piece seat, cast aluminium frame and a windscreen from the Concept X.

Power comes from a 10.3 kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor that pushes out 40 horsepower and 610Nm of wheel torque. The Ultraviolette X-47 can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 2.7 seconds and 0-100 km/h in 8.1 seconds. The top speed is rated at 145 km/h.

The IDC-certified riding range of the Ultraviolette X-47 stands at 323 kilometres on a single charge. The X47 motorcycle is equipped with a 1.6 kW onboard charger as standard. The battery is air-cooled and features built-in protections, including surge protection and earth leakage protection to enhance safety.

The X-47 introduces Ultraviolette's new "UV Hypersense" advanced rider assistance suite. This advanced rider aids setup includes a rear-facing 77GHz radar offering 150-degree blind spot coverage with detection up to 200 metres. Features enabled include lane change assist, rear collision warning, overtake alerts and blind spot detection during traffic manoeuvres.

Front and rear-facing cameras work as dashcams, recording ride footage. A secondary display above the main instrument cluster shows feeds from these cameras along with ADAS alerts. The main cluster offers information on speed, lean angle, connectivity functions, range and other real-time riding parameters.

The chassis setup includes upside-down front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on both wheels supported by dual-channel ABS. The electronics package also features four-level traction control, nine-level regenerative braking, dynamic stability control and a tow alert system.

Ultraviolette will offer the X-47 in three variants named Laser, Airstrike and Shadow. Ultraviolette is also offering a special Desert Wing edition along with accessories like panniers and auxiliary lights. Deliveries of the X-47 electric motorcycle are scheduled to begin in October.
