Ultraviolette's Future Expansion Plans Revealed - Long Term EV Domination On The Cards?
Ultraviolette Automotive, the Bengaluru-based EV manufacturer best recognized for its premium F-Series electric vehicles yesterday expanded its portfolio with the introduction of more accessible electric scooters and motorcycles aimed at the Indian mass market. Ultraviolette unveiled the Tesseract electric scooter and the Shockwave electric enduro motorcycle, priced at Rs. 1.20 lakh and Rs. 1.50 lakh for the first 10,000 and 1,000 units, respectively.
However, if you think Ultraviolette's journey into the affordable EV space is over, think again. The Bengaluru-based manufacturer at the end of its launch event yesterday laid out an ambitious roadmap for the next three years, which shows that the Tesseract and Shockwave are just the beggining of an absolute avalanche of EVs from the Ultraviolette.

Looking Ahead: Ultraviolette's Future Lineups & EVs
Ultraviolette shared an image which showed off the three series of EVs that the firm has now shown to the market - F Series (F77. F77 Superstreet), S Series (Tesseract) and the L Series (Showckwave). Further expanding its range, Ultraviolette plans to introduce the X and B series, with the former is expected to be a series of sporty urban bikes, the latter will be power cruiser motorcycles.
All five 5 motorcycles under the X (3 new bikes) and B (2 new bikes) lineups have not been revealed, they are not the only new bikes and scooters the firm will be launching. The flagship F Series will be revealed in more avatar in the coming years while both the Shockwave and Tesseract are expected to feature two new siblings in the next 3 years as well. If the F series is anything to go by, the new scooters and enduro bikes are expectred to be different variations of the Tesseract and Shockwave respectively.

Ultraviolette's Strategic Market Expansion
With the introduction of the Tesseract and Shockwave, Ultraviolette ventures into the highly competitive volume segment of electric vehicles. The company, previously known for its more expensive F77 line of products, is making a calculated pivot to cater to a wider audience. This transition underscores Ultraviolette's intention to build a stronger presence in the EV market by offering products that combine innovation with affordability.
As Ultraviolette gears up for the production of the Tesseract and Shockwave in Q1 2026, there is speculation about the potential introduction of more powerful variants of these models in the following year. Such developments could see a revision in pricing to reflect the enhanced capabilities of these versions.

DriveSpark Thinks!
As Ultraviolette continues to navigate the dynamic landscape of the electric vehicle sector, the success of its new offerings will be instrumental in determining its position within the competitive market. The company's emphasis on affordability, without compromising on quality and performance, could set a new precedent for electric mobility in India. With 10 more EVs in the works, Ultraviolette looks to be gearing up to dominate the Indian EV market, though everything will depend on how the Indian public responds to the Tesseract and Showckwave.
