TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Now Comes With Alloy Wheels!
TVS Motor Company has expanded its XL100 lineup with a new top-of-the-line variant called the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy. This latest addition brings practical enhancements to India's most popular moped by introducing tubeless tyres mounted on alloy wheels, offering improved durability and ease of maintenance. Priced at Rs 59,800 (ex-showroom), the Heavy Duty Alloy is now the most premium variant in the XL100 range, which consists of four other versions.
Visually, this new model gets a distinct upgrade thanks to its alloy wheels that enhance both appearance and functionality. TVS offers the variant in three colour options - Red, Blue, and Grey. The overall styling continues to reflect the utilitarian nature of the XL100, featuring a flat seat, round headlamp, and a slightly raised handlebar for comfortable riding posture.
Mechanically, the TVS XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy Wheel retains the tried-and-tested setup that has made the model popular among daily commuters and small business owners. It is powered by a 99.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 4.3hp and 6.5Nm of peak torque. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear, while drum brakes on both ends take care of stopping power.
Despite the addition of new alloy wheels and tubeless tyres, the kerb weight remains unchanged at 89kg, identical to three of the other XL100 variants. Only the base Heavy Duty version weighs a kilogram less.
In terms of features, the XL100 Heavy Duty Alloy comes equipped with an LED headlamp, detachable rear seat, easy on-off switch, black muffler, and a mobile charging port, making it even more convenient for everyday use.

The closest alternative is the electric Kinetic e-Luna, which is priced between Rs 69,990 and Rs 82,490, catering to customers looking for an eco-friendly alternative.
