TVS Unveils Next-Gen AR Helmets: No Need For Smartphones
TVS Motor Company has showcased its newly developed HUD display AR helmets at the EICMA 2025 event. TVS co-developed this new product with Swiss-based startup Aegis Rider. It took them more than 5 years to develop this next-generation product. The AR helmet works like a smartphone, showing riding data, speed, maps, calls, and messages.
TVSxAegis Rider AR Helmets
TVS calls it an evolution in helmet technology thanks to its advanced spatial anchoring and augmented reality. The vision is to keep the rider focused on the roads, eliminating distractions by providing key data at the front of his visor like a Heads-Up Display (HUD).

The rider gets essential information, such as navigation, music, calls, and alerts, right in front of his eyes. It also comes with a 5MP integrated action camera that records video. The product will be further developed with enhanced ride assistance, V2X communication, and cloud-based ride analytics.
Built with Qualcomm
The helmet features a µOLED projector and Magnetic binocular AR glass with automatic brightness, so the driver's vision and focus are never affected by glare and remain visible even under bright sunlight.
All these are powered by a Qualcomm processor integrated inside the AR helmet. It has a 7000 mAh battery that lasts 4 hours. It supports wireless smartphone connectivity and can also be connected to the bike's infotainment system.

Safety features
TVS's AR helmets ensure rider safety as they are both 22.06 and DOT certified. They are seamlessly connected to both motorcycles and smartphones. This allows them to provide a real-time display of data such as speed, RPM, gear position, fuel level, and turn signals.
TVS Connected ecosystem
The brand is planning to bring a connected ecosystem for its customers. They already have the SmartXonnect platform, which integrates smartphones, smartwatches, and even home devices with vehicles.
This AR helmet is designed so that the riders can travel distraction-free without looking at the speedometer or their smartphones. It also helps them stay one step ahead by providing all the essential information, even in challenging conditions.
