TVS Set For A Major Norton Motorcycles Launch In India
Iconic British motorcycle brand Norton Motorcycles is set to have separate showrooms across the global markets, like India, the US, the UK, and Europe. TVS is planning to open 200+ Norton dealerships in these countries, with most of them coming to India.
As TVS already has a wider dealership network here, it would be easy for them to open new dealerships just as Bajaj did with Triumph. Most major metro cities in India will likely have Norton dealerships starting from 2026.
TVS has already started appointing dealers for these new premium showrooms. Along with Nortin Motorcycles, TVS plans to sell its premium range models, such as the TVS Apache RR 310, RTR 310, TVS X Premium electric scooter, and the newly launched Apache RTX 300 in these outlets.
India-UK trade made it easy for TVS
Bike models, like the Manx and Manx R, will be imported from the UK. They will be built at Norton's Solihull facility in the UK. The Atlas lineup will be manufactured in the Hosur plant in India. This allows them to manage the production efficiently and gives them a chance to grow simultaneously in both India and the UK. The recent trade deal between India and the UK will make Norton Motorcycles cost-effective.
TVS managing director, Sudharshan Venu, said, "The government has given a lot of trade opportunities. Norton is one of the areas where we can truly leverage these benefits, gaining open access to the UK market while also bringing the four-cylinder models from the UK into India."
The ManX R and the ManX were recently unveiled at the EICMA 2025 event, alongside adventure models like the Atlas and the Atlas GT. ManX series bikes will have a 1200cc V4 engine that delivers smooth performance and acceleration. These bikes have 206hp of power and 130 Nm of torque. The Atlas lineup uses a 585cc Parallel twin engine.
Currently, TVS is developing a new 450cc single-cylinder engine for Norton Motorcycles, which will make its debut next year to take on Royal Enfield. These engines could also be used for TVS bikes like the RTX 300 and RR 310 in the future.
