TVS Orbiter Vs Ather Rizta: Battle Of The Scooooters
TVS has launched the new Orbiter electric scooter in India and is positioned as a more practical and spacious alternative to the TVS iQube electric scooter. Given its market positioning, the model is competing against the spacious Ather Rizta electric scooter.
So, if you are planning to buy a new spacious electric scooter this festive season, you can choose between the newly launched TVS Orbiter and the tried-and-tested Ather Rizta. That said, here is a comparison article between the TVS Orbiter and the Ather Rizta.

Design
The new TVS Orbiter is a very unique-looking electric scooter with a boxy design, and interesting colour combinations. On the other hand, the Ather Rizta looks more traditional. Take away their badges; many would argue that Orbiter is a product of Ather Energy due to its youthfulness.
Features
TVS Orbiter and Ather Rizta—both these scooters come packed to the brim with features. Some noticeable features include all-LED lighting, USB ports for charging, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation assistance, call & SMS notifications, OTA updates, Auto Hold, and much more.
However, higher variants of Ather Rizta come with a 7-inch Android-powered display with features such as Google Maps, Alexa, and location sharing via WhatsApp.
Specifications & Range
The TVS Orbiter comes with a hub-mounted electric motor, and it is paired with a 3.1kWh battery pack. According to TVS, the IDC range for this model stands at 158km, which is plenty for a scooter of this segment.
In comparison, the Ather Rizta can be specified with a 3.7kWh battery pack or a smaller 2.9kWh battery pack. These models boast an IPC range of 159km and 123km, respectively.
Price
The TVS Orbiter is priced from Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom price inclusive of PM-E Drive Incentive). In comparison, the prices for the Ather Rizta starts at Rs 1,14,999 (ex-showroom price inclusive of PM-E Drive Incentive).
DriveSpark Thinks
We do not expect TVS to hike prices for the Orbiter till the end of the festive season, and at this price point, it holds an advantage against the Ather Rizta. That said, if the price difference is under Rs 5,000, we would recommend you to choose a scooter with showroom and service centres closer to your residence.
