TVS Ntorq 125 Achieves New Milestone: 2 Million Units Sold Since Launch; Ntorq 150 Coming Soon
TVS is gearing up to introduce the Ntorq 150 later this year, aiming to expand its scooter lineup. The current Ntorq 125 has already achieved significant milestones, surpassing 2 million sales in the domestic market by May 2025. Additionally, over 3,00,000 units have been sold overseas by the end of FY2025. The new model is expected to launch around the festive season.
The Ntorq 125 has been a key player in TVS' success, contributing 23% to their total scooter sales since its launch in February 2018. It remains the second-best-selling scooter for TVS after the Jupiter models. In FY2025 alone, it sold 3,34,414 units, marking a 6% increase from the previous fiscal year. This accounted for 18% of TVS' record scooter sales of 1.81 million units.

Ntorq's Market Performance
Despite its success, the Ntorq's share has decreased from 29% in FY2022 to 23% in FY2025. This decline is due to the growing popularity of other models like the Jupiter and iQube. The Jupiter's share increased to 61%, while iQube held a 15% share in FY2025. Nonetheless, Ntorq remains a crucial part of TVS' portfolio.
The Ntorq was India's fourth best-selling scooter in FY2025, trailing behind Honda Activa, Jupiter, and Suzuki Access. It was also just ahead of Honda Dio by a margin of 13,194 units. Furthermore, it ranked as the fourth most-exported scooter with 64,988 units shipped overseas during the same period.
Variants & Features
Since its introduction in early 2018, TVS has kept the Ntorq fresh with various variants: Disc, Race Edition, Super Squad Edition, Race XP, and XT. Prices range from Rs 87,542 to Rs 1.07 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Race XP variant boasts a slightly more powerful engine at 10.2hp and 10.8Nm torque compared to others at 9.4hp and 10.5Nm.
The top-tier XT variant features a TFT display with additional functionalities beyond what is available on other models' LCD dashboards. The differences among Disc, Race Edition, and Super Squad Edition are mainly cosmetic enhancements aimed at attracting different customer preferences.
Upcoming Ntorq Model
The upcoming Ntorq 150 will compete with Yamaha Aerox 155 and Hero Xoom 160 in the higher-power segment. TVS plans to leverage its strengths by offering comprehensive features and high build quality for this larger ICE scooter model. It may adopt sporty styling similar to its smaller sibling with potential upgrades like larger wheels.
The anticipated launch aligns with TVS' strategy to cater to customers seeking more powerful scooters as they look to upgrade from existing models. This move could help TVS further solidify its position against competitors such as Yamaha and Aprilia in this segment.
TVS' Market Share Growth
TVS has seen substantial growth in market share over recent years due largely to successful models like Jupiter and Ntorq combined with strategic product launches targeting evolving consumer preferences within India's competitive scooter landscape.
