TVS Motor Achieves Remarkable 17% Sales Growth In March 2025
TVS Motor, a prominent automotive company based in Tamil Nadu, India, has reported impressive sales figures for March 2025. The company, which operates a factory in Hosur, manufactures both two-wheelers and three-wheelers. In March 2025, TVS Motor sold a total of 414,687 vehicles globally. This figure includes domestic sales as well as exports to international markets.
In March 2024, TVS Motor had sold 354,592 vehicles. This indicates a 17% increase in sales for March 2025 compared to the previous year. The company's strong network in various countries has contributed to this growth. TVS Motor's primary focus is on two-wheelers, with three-wheelers being produced and sold in smaller quantities.

Focusing on two-wheelers, TVS sold 412,000 units worldwide in March 2025. This is a significant increase from the 344,446 units sold in March 2024. Of the total two-wheelers sold last month, 196,734 were bikes and 166,297 were scooters. In March 2024, these numbers were lower at 171,611 bikes and 131,472 scooters.
In India alone, TVS sold 297,622 two-wheelers in March 2025. This marks a 14% increase from the 260,532 units sold domestically in March 2024. The company's electric vehicle segment also showed growth with sales of 26,935 electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers last month. This is a notable rise from the 15,250 electric vehicles sold in March of the previous year.
TVS Motor's three-wheeler sales reached 14,567 units in March 2025, up from 10,146 units in March 2024. This represents a significant increase of 44%. Additionally, the company exported a total of 113,464 vehicles from India last month. In comparison, exports stood at only 91,972 units in March of the previous year.
The export of two-wheelers alone accounted for 102,498 units last month. In March 2024, only 83,914 two-wheelers were exported to foreign markets. This indicates a substantial growth of 23% in TVS Motor's foreign exports.
Quarterly Sales Overview
In the first quarter of 2025, TVS Motor sold approximately 11.80 lakh two-wheelers globally. This includes both domestic sales and exports. During the same period in 2024, the company had sold only about 10.32 lakh two-wheelers. This reflects a growth rate of around 14% for the first quarter of this year compared to last year.
The number of three-wheelers sold during the first three months of this year was approximately 37,000 units. This is an increase from the previous year's figure of about 30,000 units for the same period. Furthermore, TVS Motor's exports have surged by approximately 31% over the past three months.
In early 2024, TVS exported around 2.60 lakh vehicles to international markets. However, by early this year, that number had risen to about 3.40 lakh vehicles exported from India.
The data highlights TVS Motor's growth across all segments. Notably, increased foreign exports are likely to strengthen its presence internationally. Observing how TVS maintains this momentum will be interesting.
