New TVS Jupiter 125 DT SXC

The TVS Jupiter 125 DT SXC variant, positioned above the mid-spec Disc variant by Rs 3,500, offers notable upgrades without altering the scooter's design or performance. It maintains the same 124cc engine, delivering 8.5hp at 6,500rpm and 11.1Nm at 4,500rpm, ensuring consistent power and performance across the Jupiter 125 line-up. The introduction of two new dual-tone colour schemes, Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey, adds to the aesthetic appeal of this variant.

Despite its higher price, the DT SXC variant remains mechanically identical to its siblings, featuring a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear for smooth riding. The scooter, weighing 108kg, boasts a ground clearance of 163mm, suitable for various road conditions. It offers ample storage with 33 litres under the seat and an additional 2 litres at the front, catering to the practical needs of riders.

TVS positions the Jupiter 125 DT SXC variant competitively within its range, costing Rs 3,000 less than the SmartXconnect variant, the line-up's premium offering. This strategic pricing places it in the upper mid-tier, offering value with its new features and colour options. The Jupiter 125 continues to compete with notable rivals in the segment, including the Suzuki Access 125, Hero Destini 125, Honda Activa 125, and the Yamaha Fascino, maintaining its position as a strong contender in the market.

In addition to the launch details, it's worth noting the upcoming Hero Vida VX2, spotted undisguised ahead of its launch, indicating a growing competition in the segment. This underscores TVS's effort to stay ahead in the competitive market by updating the Jupiter 125 with new features and colours, aiming to appeal to a wider audience.
