TVS Jupiter 110 Scooter Meets OBD2B Emission Compliance: Prices Start At Rs 76,691
As the April 1 deadline for OBD2B emission compliance approaches, manufacturers are racing to meet the standards. TVS has confirmed that its Jupiter 110 scooter now adheres to these norms. The company plans to make its entire range compliant by March's end. This move aligns with industry trends as more brands update their offerings to meet the latest requirements.
TVS recently revamped its popular Jupiter 110, aligning it closer to the larger Jupiter 125 model. This update includes an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG), which provides a slight electric boost during acceleration. Initially introduced on Yamaha's 125cc scooters, this feature is also present in the FZ-S commuter bike.

TVS Models and Compliance
The Jupiter 110 stands as TVS's top-selling model and ranks second in India's scooter market, just behind Honda's Activa. Other models like Raider, Apache, and NTorq will soon follow in becoming OBD2B compliant. TVS assures that all its vehicles will meet these standards by the end of March.
TVS highlights that its OBD2B-compliant vehicles have undergone significant sensor technology upgrades and enhanced on-board capabilities to satisfy stricter norms. The Jupiter is offered in four variants, with prices ranging from Rs 76,691 to Rs 89,791 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Industry-Wide Compliance Efforts
Honda is another manufacturer making strides towards compliance, having updated almost all of its commuter bikes and scooters to meet these new standards. As manufacturers adapt to these regulations, consumers can expect improved vehicle performance and reduced emissions.
The push for OBD2B compliance reflects a broader industry shift towards more environmentally friendly transportation solutions. As companies like TVS and Honda lead the charge, other manufacturers are expected to follow suit in updating their product lines.
This transition not only ensures adherence to regulatory requirements but also enhances vehicle efficiency and sustainability. With the deadline looming, manufacturers are keenly focused on meeting these new emission standards.
