TVS Apache RTX Vs Yezdi Adventure Vs KTM 250 Adventure: Specifications Comparison
TVS has entered the middleweight adventure touring segment with the launch of the Apache RTX 300, priced from Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The "RTX" moniker stands for Rally, Tourer, and Xtreme, highlighting the bike's all-round capabilities across tarmac and trails.
By price, the new Apache RTX 300 directly rivals the Yezdi Adventure, while in character and intent, it challenges the KTM 250 Adventure, which costs around Rs 40,000 more. Here's how the 3 models stack up in design, features, performance, and price.

Styling & Features
The TVS Apache RTX 300 has a modern, purposeful design that gives it a dominating presence on the road. It sports sharp LED lighting, a sleek semi-fairing, and an exposed steel trellis frame that accentuates its muscular build. Other highlights include a transparent windscreen, hand guards, metal bash plate, split seats, upswept exhaust, and a sculpted fuel tank.
The bike rides on knobby dual-purpose tyres fitted to 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, giving it both visual appeal and real-world versatility. Colour choices include Pearl White, Lightning Black, Metallic Blue, Viper Green, and Tarn Bronze, each paired with gold-finished USD forks for a premium look.
The Yezdi Adventure, on the other hand, stays true to its classic ADV roots. It features dual asymmetrical round headlamps, a raised front fender, fork gaiters, and an overall old-school silhouette. The 2024 update added refreshed styling and new colours, along with essentials like a tall windscreen, wide handlebar, split seats, and upswept exhaust.
Meanwhile, the KTM 250 Adventure channels a more aggressive, rally-inspired design. It gets sharp bodywork, Dakar-style graphics, a tall windscreen, and a distinctive LED headlamp with DRLs. Other features include hand guards, a mini fairing, step-up seat, and underbelly exhaust. KTM offers the bike in Electronic Orange and Ceramic White shades, both reflecting the brand's racing DNA.
Powertrain & Performance
Powering the TVS Apache RTX 300 is a 299.1cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine, producing 36PS at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm. This motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter. TVS has tuned the engine for linear power delivery with strong low-end torque, ideal for touring and mild off-road riding.
In terms of tech, the RTX 300 is loaded with features like cruise control, switchable traction control, four riding modes (Urban, Rain, Tour, Rally), Bluetooth connectivity, map mirroring, and adjustable levers. Touring-friendly additions include pannier and top-box mounting points.
The Yezdi Adventure draws power from a 334cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine delivering 30PS and 29.56Nm. It too uses a 6-speed gearbox and offers traction control with Rain, Road, and Off-road ABS modes.
The KTM 250 Adventure is powered by a 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 31PS and 25Nm. The bike stands out with advanced electronics such as ride-by-wire throttle, Quickshifter+, and off-road ABS, giving it a more performance-oriented edge.
Price & Variants
The TVS Apache RTX 300 range starts at Rs 1.99 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 2.14 lakh for the top variant. Customers can also opt for the 'Built To Order' (BTO) configuration, which starts at Rs 2.34 lakh, allowing for adjustable suspension and added personalization.
The Yezdi Adventure, recently repriced after GST cuts, now starts at Rs 1.98 lakh, making it nearly identical to the base RTX 300 in pricing. The KTM 250 Adventure, meanwhile, sits higher at Rs 2.40 lakh, but justifies the premium with its KTM hardware and electronic package.
DriveSpark Thinks
The TVS Apache RTX 300 enters the ADV segment as a strong, well-equipped contender that blends performance, touring comfort, and technology in an attractive price bracket. The Yezdi Adventure remains the more rugged, retro-inspired option, while the KTM 250 Adventure continues to cater to riders seeking sharper performance and sportier dynamics.
For buyers seeking a modern, feature-rich ADV under Rs 2.2 lakh, the TVS Apache RTX 300 currently offers the most balanced and value-packed package in its class.
