TVS Apache RTX: Top 5 Things You Should Know
TVS Motor Company has launched its all-new Apache RTX, marking the brand's entry into the adventure touring motorcycle space. Prices start at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The bike will be available in three variants - Base, Top, and BTO (Built To Order) - all of which come equipped with a strong feature set aimed at long-distance riders. That said, here are top 5 things about the new TVS Apache RTX

Design
The TVS Apache RTX has been designed as a versatile adventure tourer, striking a balance between on-road comfort and mild off-road capability. While it's not intended as a hardcore off-roader, its rugged design and purposeful stance highlight its touring intent. The bike rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, wrapped in specially developed dual-sport tyres for enhanced grip across surfaces.
TVS has built the motorcycle around an all-new steel trellis frame, which provides stability and strength for highway cruising and light trails. With 180mm of suspension travel at both ends and a 200mm ground clearance, the Apache RTX promises confident handling over uneven terrain.
Features
TVS has packed the Apache RTX with a host of premium features. The bike gets four riding modes - Urban, Rain, Tour, and Rally - which adjust ABS and traction control settings to suit different conditions. Cruise control is offered as standard across all variants, underscoring the bike's long-distance touring focus.
Higher variants get a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with dedicated switchgear, providing access to multiple functions. When paired with the TVS SmartXonnect app, riders can enjoy Google Maps mirroring and a suite of connected features. The Top and BTO variants also benefit from Class D LED headlamps with DRLs and a bidirectional quickshifter.
In addition, TVS has partnered with Givi to offer a range of official touring accessories such as panniers, top boxes, and tank bags. The company has also extended its collaboration with Alpinestars to introduce a new range of adventure riding gear, including helmets, gloves, and boots tailored for touring riders.
Powertrain
At the heart of the Apache RTX lies the new 299cc RT-XD4 engine, first showcased at MotoSoul 2024. This liquid-cooled, single-cylinder unit produces 36hp at 9,000rpm and 28.5Nm at 7,000rpm, making it TVS's second most powerful motorcycle after the Apache RR 310.
The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features a bidirectional quickshifter on the higher variants. TVS says the motor has been tuned to deliver linear power delivery across the rev range, with an emphasis on strong low-end torque, making it well-suited for both city commuting and highway touring.
Other Specifications
Suspension duties are handled by a 41mm USD fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear, both offering 180mm of travel. The seat height stands at 835mm, while the bike tips the scales at 180kg (kerb). Braking is managed by disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
The BTO variant adds adjustable suspension and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), giving riders greater control and customization for varied terrain.

The TVS Apache RTX is available in 3 variants:
