Chennai-based two-wheeler giant TVS has added another dimension to its performance Apache lineup with the recent launch of the RTX 300, the firm's first ADV.
The new TVS Apache RTX 300 steps directly into the affordable end of India's ADV segment, and with a price tag of ₹1.99 lakh(ex-showroom), it finds itself directly pitted against the Yezdi Adventure, which was recently updated and got a price cut thanks to the changes in GST.

The TVS Apache RTX 300 is powered by a 299.1 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, producing 36 PS at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm. The Yezdi Adventure, meanwhile, runs a 334 cc liquid-cooled unit generating 29.6 PS at 8,000 rpm and 29.9 Nm at 5,800 rpm.
Despite the smaller displacement, the Apache delivers more power and nearly equal torque, suggesting a livelier top-end performance. The Yezdi's torque kicks in earlier, which could make it more tractable on trails and broken roads.
