Triumph Thruxton 400 Launch Date Revealed: All Details Here
Triumph Motorcycles is gearing up to unveil its much-anticipated Thruxton 400 cafe racer on August 6, 2025. The announcement was accompanied by a creative teaser image featuring a cappuccino cup with latte art that mirrors the iconic cafe racer's front cowl and handlebar setup. This teaser, titled "Poise and Performance - Brewed to Perfection," captures the essence of the cafe racer spirit with a classic Triumph touch.
The Thruxton 400 has been spotted in spy shots earlier this week, appearing production-ready and likely heading for a TV commercial shoot near Pune. These images revealed key styling elements such as a half fairing with a round LED headlamp, bar-end mirrors, and clip-on handlebars. The design takes inspiration from the larger Thruxton 1200 while incorporating features from Triumph's existing 400cc platform used in the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X.

The Thruxton 400 is expected to be powered by the same 398cc single-cylinder engine found in the Speed 400, delivering approximately 40 PS and 37.5 Nm of torque. It will feature a tubular steel frame, USD forks, and 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with either Pirelli or locally sourced MRF tyres. Additional features include a sporty clip-on setup, repositioned turn indicators, and a distinctive cafe-racer cowl.
Modern amenities such as a semi-digital console and dual-channel ABS are anticipated, along with possible multiple ride modes similar to its siblings. Based on spied images, one of the launch colours might be a bold red paint scheme with white racing stripes.
Pricing Strategy
Triumph's aggressive pricing strategy with the Speed 400 suggests that the Thruxton 400 may be priced slightly higher, potentially between Rs 2.30 lakh and Rs 2.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This positions it uniquely within the retro cafe racer segment without direct competitors at this price point and displacement level.
DriveSpark Thinks
The Thruxton 400 aims to continue Triumph's legacy into the accessible middleweight category. With its modern engine, nostalgic design, and competitive pricing, it is set to attract both enthusiasts of classic British styling and new riders seeking character combined with everyday usability.
